The principal material we are going to use for this activity is the same as in the other post. The difference is that we are going to compare this ideal objects or solids with real objects that are similar. The comparison with the reality is always important, due to the fact that they recognized real objects and ideal objects are difficult to recognize when they are not familiarized with them. In this way, they can get closer to solids and their names if they relate them with real objects.
There are more that two possibilities to use this materials, but I will explain two of them:
1- We can put the solids separated and give them as in the other activity flashcards with the same solids and flashcards with their names so they have to put it the first of the chain. Then, they will place the flashcards of objects (Figure 1) that they recognize and that they think that are similar to the solids. We will form a chain with this flashcards.
2- The same as 1 but this time with real objects, (Figure 2) the can touch the objects, see how many faces it has and see also that they can be in different sizes and forms.
